Senior Match Dates 2010 - 2011
Some dates/venues provisional or to be arranged - watch for details in the Cambridge Evening News or contact the Hon. Match Secretary
Please note all senior matches:  Draw - 9am, Fish - 10am - 4pm.
 
Sunday and Wednesday match series:
Details to be advertised on the notice board at Magpie Lake.
 
Winter League
Details of all Winter league matches to be held from October through to and including December on Magpie lake are TBA.
 

The B. Kleen & P. Edwards Memorial Match.

Date and venue TBA.
 
Please watch the Waterbeach AC Club Match fixture board on-site at Magpie Lake.  This will be updated on a regular basis with
details of all the above and any other matches.

Club Trophies and Special Prizes

 

H. J. Oates Challenge Shield for the heaviest combined weight of fish in the club's League matches.

 

Jack Leland Memorial Points Shield for the highest aggregate points scored in Club league matches, open matches excluded.

 

Rose Challenge Bowl for the best fish caught during the season, with a tankard for the winner.  Open to all Club members.

 

Mixers Cup.  A "pairs cup" to be fished for by Officers & Committee, and invited Junior Anglers.

 

Black Horse Tankard for the best fish weighed in from the Swaffham Lode

 

Voucher, value £3, given by Cooper Bros for the best fish caught by a Junior in the competitions

 

Ladies Cup presented for the best specimen fish weighed in by a Lady Angler

 

Trophies will also be awarded [at the Committee's discretion] for the best fish weighed in of each of the following species: Roach, Bream, Pike, Dace, Chub, Eel, Tench, Rudd, Carp, Zander.

 

 

"Litter"

Litter and nylon line is both unsightly, dangerous to wildlife and can cause the loss of a fishery.

 

All discarded line, tackle, bottles and other litter MUST BE REMOVED from swims by Club Members whether dropped by the member or not.  No tins to be brought to any Club Water.

 
Any Member found leaving litter in their swim will be required to explain their actions to the Committee and may have their Membership withdrawn.
